Project Redline's 5-Step Custom Wheel Painting Process
Step 1
Preparation
Rust, scale, and old paint are removed. The rim is cleaned to base metal and inspected for cracks, bends, and worn bolt holes. The rim is sandblasted. Rims are thoroughly inspected for safety.Step 2
Primer
The primer coat is applied to give an added layer of protection against rust and corrosion.Step 3
Painting
A colour coat is applied to the rim using a very high quality paint. The paint is applied in uniform coats to ensure no runs. Available in a variety of colour options. We can closely match your original rim finish or create something new and unique.Step 4
Clear Coat
Rims air dry and are then clear coated with a durable powder coat to provide further protection. and rust prevention.Step 5
Curing
Rims are cured in a specialized powder coating oven and then cooled down.
